Orca Paintings

Orcas, or killer whales, are magical animals living in all the worlds oceans and are especially interconnected with the Pacific North West and it’s people. As a Victoria, BC wildlife artist I love painting these locally beloved whales so iconic to the west coast and west coast art.

The largest member of the dolphin family, orcas are social apex predators with advanced intelligence, highly sophisticated animal culture and language. While humans are often scared of orca attacks as we are of almost anything in the sea, these incredibly effective deadly hunters there has never been a fatal attack to a human in the wild.
